MORTAL STRIKE
Greetings to you, I'm Christian Nielsen, called Chrir among friends.

What is your band's name? How did you come up with that name?
MORTAL STRIKE
It's Mortal Strike. It sounds like a Sledgehammer to the face and the name reflects the aim.
 
ATP
So who's in the band and what instruments do you each play?
MORTAL STRIKE
We are 5 mates.
Matthias (Singer)
Etzi (Lead guitar)
Dominique (Bass)
Max (Drums)
And myself Chrir (Rhytm Guitar)
 
ATP
How would you describe your sound. What makes you unique?
MORTAL STRIKE
We play pure, no bullshit Thrash Metal. Trying to capture the essence of the late 80's with a sound that reflects our background and time however.

What bands have influenced each of you?
MORTAL STRIKE
Generally speaking we take a lot of influence from the Teutonic 4: Kreator, Sodom, Destruction, and Tankard.

How experienced are you on the stage, a virgin or whore?
MORTAL STRIKE
We are definitely stage sluts! We have played quite a few Festivals, most notably Wacken 2011. Played a lot of great shows, mostly in Austria and Germany, but also Finland, Hungary and so on. With a lot of fucking awesome Bands. Supported the likes of: Exodus, Sodom, Destruction, Tankard, Warbringer, Suicidal Angels, Flotsam & Jetsam, Assassin, Darkness and the list goes on and on.

How would you describe your shows?
MORTAL STRIKE
Like a huge, loud, aggressive, energetic fist in the face!

Tell us about your favorite show and why?
MORTAL STRIKE
It will be hard to pinpoint one specific. But my personal one has to be our Tankard Support Show in Szene Wien in October 2013. The hall went fucking mental at 20:00 when we started, and the building was burstingly full. To crown it of, Gerre stormed the stage and sang a song together with Matthias. We did the same during their show as well. Fucking brilliant night.

Tell us about your worst show and why?
MORTAL STRIKE
I can only recall one quite shit and it wasn't the promoters fault but the bands playing before us, who overplayed their stage time by quite a lot so we had to go on stage an hour after we were booked. At that time most people had left because of the last subway. But we played as if there were 500 for the 25 people who stayed :)

Tell Us About Your Dream Show, who you'd like to play with and where?
MORTAL STRIKE
Matthias will probably hate me for not writing Kreator in Essen here, but for me personally (And Etzis as well) it would be opening for Metallica. Don't matter where, don't matter when.

Do you have a street team and how can you join?
MORTAL STRIKE
Not quite sure what that is.. We do everything ourselves, including merchandise and so on. So no, I don't think we do.

Do you have a record label and if not are you looking for one?
MORTAL STRIKE
We don't have one at the moment, but we are looking for one! The ones we tried to get onto weren't interested at the moment. We recorded everything up to this date by ourselves, and do distributing and so on all as well.

What are your plans for the future, in a year, 5 years?
MORTAL STRIKE
Biggers Shows, Bigger crowds, bigger stages, bigger everything! All the long, hard way to the top!

Finally, do have any words on what Arm The Pit means to you?
MORTAL STRIKE
I don't really know what to say here except I think that it is awesome what you do and you better keep at it!
